About Us

 Mona Pearson, Director of TheLuckyCow.org An Oregon based Non-Profit started in 2021.  Mona was born back in Massachusetts the daughter of a Race horse trainer, and amazing mother she lived on the race tracks for the first few years of her life until being moved to southern California, and dopted by Dad who supported the love of riding horses. Later she  was introduced to cattle farming with her biological father at her uncles ranch in Bakersfield. Once the largest cattle ranch in California, The Rocking R ranch gave her her first taste of how a real cowboy’s life is led. After high school Mona served in the US Army. Serving our country as a combat photographer for a part of that career. Upon leaving the Army she began her College journey, studying Anthropology and Social science her dream is to get her doctorate in the field of Environmental Design as it applies to Anthropology.  This decision to continue her education led her to participate in the Portland State University Clean Tech Challenge where she and TheLuckyCow.org teamed up to present the vertical closed loop system, 

My name is Sharon Finston.

I have worked as a bookkeeper and CFO for the past 35 years. I worked as the CFO for a large conglomerate that had a wholesaling company and two retail corporations under the Holding company. The retail corporations had multiple retail store locations and online sales. 

I am truly an animal lover. I have many animals of my own and I truly believe in kind and considerate treatment of all animals. So when the concept of “The Lucky Cow” was first broached to me, I was a little skeptical, but as time has passed, I have come to realize that “The Lucky Cow” is truly a forward thinking idea that takes into account the world as we know it now. It also encompasses the belief of kind and humane treatment for animals.

I am very excited to be on the Board of Directors for this organization.

I will work very hard at my position and I take it very seriously.
